Getting started
What is a CMTC concert pack?
Our most popular item is a five-card concert pack. Limited edition or rare cards are randomly inserted across the packs, and we can also include artist-team-approved experiential chase cards, signed cards or autographed-item redemptions. A rare card or redemption is not guaranteed in every pack.
Can chase cards include experiences or redemptions?
Yes. We work with artists and their teams to create chase cards that can reveal a meet-and-greet opportunity or a redemption for an autographed item. These cards can be randomly inserted into concert packs, with each experience and redemption coordinated with the artist’s team.
How do you coordinate artist autographs?
We mail a box, a Sharpie and the cards to the address designated by the artist’s team. The signed cards return to our secure facility and are randomly inserted into concert packs alongside other chase cards.
What does CMTC make?
Country music trading cards. We design and produce limited edition releases for country artists, bands, songwriters, tours, labels, venues and festivals. Our most popular item is the five-card concert pack, with randomly inserted rare cards and options for artist autographs and experiential chase cards. We also offer individually numbered editions and proprietary slabs.
Where can I get custom cards or custom trading cards made in Nashville?
CMTC designs and produces custom trading cards in Old Hickory, in the Nashville, Tennessee area, and works with clients nationwide. Email info@LibertyForgeGroup.com or use the project form to start.
Who approves a country music trading card?
The artist and whoever controls their name, image and likeness, usually management, the label or a licensee. We plan approvals into the schedule from the first conversation so your release date holds.
What do I need to start a project?
A short brief: who the cards are for, the moment or story, an estimated quantity, formats you are considering and your target release date. Photography and brand assets help, but they are not required to start the conversation.
Artist approvals
Who needs to approve an artist trading card?
The artist and whoever controls their name, image and likeness, usually management, the label or a licensee. We plan approvals into the schedule from the start so the release date holds.
Do you need the rights to the artists on the cards?
Yes. Every release is built with the applicable rights holders and licensees. If you are the artist or their team, we work directly with you. If you are a brand, venue or promoter, we will help you plan the approvals.
Can a card include album art, logos or song titles?
Only with the appropriate approvals. Album art, band logos and other marks are often controlled by the label or a licensee, so we confirm what is cleared before design begins.
Formats and presentation
What is a numbered chase card?
A chase card is a special, limited tier within a release, often with a different finish or border, that fans hunt for. Individual numbering, like 07/50 or 1/1, shows exactly how many exist.
What is a proprietary slab?
A slab is a rigid protective case that seals and displays a card. CMTC presents cards in our own proprietary slabs, giving your release a distinctive, display-ready finish that is unique to CMTC.
How do you decide the edition size?
Edition size follows the audience and the moment. We look at how the cards will be sold or given away, the size of the fan base and how scarce you want the top tier to feel, then recommend a structure.
Do you produce blind packs?
Yes. We produce blind packs and fully custom trading card sets for country music artists, labels and tours, including pack-outs with inserts and numbered chase cards.
Timing and production
How long does a custom trading card project take?
Specialty limited editions move fastest. Larger runs, blind packs and full sets take longer. The biggest variables are approvals, quantity, set complexity and packaging, so share your target date early and we will plan backward from it.
How long do larger runs take?
Blind packs, larger runs and full sets have longer lead times than our specialty limited editions. Timing depends on quantity, set complexity, packaging and approval requirements, so we scope it once we know your release date.
Will I see a proof before production?
Yes. You approve the final card fronts, backs, numbering and presentation before anything goes into production.
Do I need finished artwork or photography?
No. We can design from your photography and brand assets, or develop the card art with you. For artist cards we work from approved, authentic photography.
